I use two types of indicators when I am nymph fishing. I like Air-Lock indicators and Maxcatch. Maxcatch Fly fishing strike indicators are great because they are simple and attach easily to your line. They are easy to remove as well and to adjust up or down the line as needed. The best part is they don’t kink line like other indicators. They come in a tube which I like because the tube keeps them secure and can be stored more easily too. When you attach them to your line you want to make sure the line gets under the rubber band and is secure. If you don’t secure them it isn’t unusual for them to come off during a cast. This may be the only negative but it doesn’t happen often. Give Maxcatch Fly fishing strike indicators a try.
