Simms Freestone Stockingfoot Waders are my year-round waders. They are light and comfortable whether wearing a shirt and shorts or “layered up” for cold winter temperatures. I like the pocket in the front for storage and I added the Simms Tippet Tender Pocket which attaches with a durable zipper to the front of the waders. The zipper lets me easily remove the pocket and offers additional storage space for my fly boxes. The two front compartments are great for storing extra leader and a small weight box.
The suspender straps are worth mentioning because they are constructed from a strong stretchable material. I had others that over time stretch out of shape, but these hold their shape.
Gravel guards are a must for keeping small stones from getting into your shoes and these have those built-in.
I like Simms products because they are quality products and are reasonably priced. My Simms Freestone Stockingfoot Waders are comfortable and so far they have been durable. I’m pretty tough on waders!
